Remedy- Gainesville, Florida, formerly known as St. Francis Pet Care, provides primary non-emergency veterinary care, including exams, consultations, treatment, vaccinations, microchips, and nail trimming. We also provide pet supplies when available.

Wish List Donations

We welcome donations of pet food and treats, pet items such as leashes and collars, unexpired medications as well as general medical and office supplies. Donations can be dropped off Monday – Thursday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at our downtown clinic location. You can also purchase an item from our Amazon wish list to have it sent directly to us.

Our Veterinary Practice and Outreach Services

  • Our downtown clinic offers affordable veterinary services and is located at 104 SE 4th Place, directly behind St Francis House. It requires an appointment, except on Mondays, when we offer walk-in clinic hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • A monthly outreach clinic is open to residents of Grace Marketplace and anyone else needing services who may find themself in difficult circumstances. Call Grace Market at 352-792-0800 to confirm the clinic times and for more details.

    At these outreach clinics, we are only able to perform the following procedures: physical examinations, such as annual exams, vaccines (rabies, FVRCP, DA2PP), microchip insertion and scanning, heartworm testing, FeLV/FIV testing, dewormer, nail trims, anal gland expression, flea and heartworm medication dispensing. When available, we’ll also be able to distribute pet food and cat litter. We are not able to see sick pets at these clinics.

  • We hold a monthly outreach clinic at the SWAG Family Resource Center in the Linton Oaks neighborhood of Southwest Gainesville. The clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month. There are no appointments, but there is limited availability, and clients are seen on a first come, first serve basis.

    We are only able to perform the following procedures at this outreach clinic: physical examinations, such as annual exams, vaccines (rabies, FVRCP, DA2PP), microchip insertion and scanning, heartworm testing, FeLV/FIV testing, dewormer, nail trims, anal gland expression, flea and heartworm medication dispensing. When available, we’ll also be able to distribute pet food and cat litter. We are not able to see sick pets at these clinics.
